In Between

Have you ever had a really profound thought in that spacey area between wakefulness and sleep? Here's one i had:

I was walking up some stairs with some industry idols of mine, but once we got near the top, i was unable to pass the top few stairs. So i was left there, and became one of the top stairs.

I woke up with this thought: some of us are bound to be top stairs - not quite at the level we want to be, and constantly walked over by others on their way to the top.

  1. I can't say I have. I tend to forget my dreams pretty quickly after I wake up. What I feel is profound and worth remembering is lost mere seconds after. I've tried noting them down before, but no luck there.

It's pretty cool how you used that dream for some philosophical thinking though. You're running an interesting blog. Keep up the work.

  2. Dreams like that are only reminders to seize my ambitions with full force every day...

  3. Fucking love these.
can be creepy at times though :c

  4. Smart thinking, and yes, I can't disagree with your thought.

  5. They can sometimes be unsettling. I had a few sleep paralysis experiences, they very horrifying.

    1. That's crazy! Was it like the "hag" phenomenon? With the terror and chills?

  6. I have all manor of dreams and do have the just drifting off to sleep & seeing things before my closed eyes
My dreams are all very vivid & I decided to log them a few months ago in the form of a blog.

  7. Actually, I don't. I must be a simple man :)
